Krystal Appleby, RAc

Krystal Appleby, RAc, completed her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture at the Alberta College of Acupuncture & TCM in Calgary in 2017. Following her graduation, she returned to Fort McMurray to establish her own clinic. Committed to continuous learning, Krystal has pursued further education, including studies in Hangzhou, China, and courses in sports medicine acupuncture, mental health, and energetics.

Krystal is passionate about integrating clients’ understanding of physical anatomy and physiology with an exploration of their environmental and emotional stressors. Her goal is to achieve a balanced dynamic that promotes long-lasting, pain-free, fulfilling, and purposeful living.

With extensive experience in running, CrossFit, and yoga, Krystal approaches each client with curiosity, seeking to understand the underlying causes of symptoms and the messages conveyed by persistent pain beyond acute sprains and strains. She employs a comprehensive treatment plan that includes acupuncture, TCM, cupping, guasha, and hands-on assessment to support clients in achieving their desired outcomes. Krystal is adept at treating a variety of conditions, with a particular interest in addressing stubborn pain and mental health issues. She tailors her acupuncture techniques to accommodate both needle-sensitive individuals and those who prefer a more intense muscle response.

In her spare time, Krystal enjoys spending time at home with her dog or traveling to distant beaches for diving, surfing, and other adventures.

Krystal Appleby, RAc is registered with the BC College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC
