Originally from a lobster fishing village in Prince Edward Island, Dr. Kallie Doucette, N.D. has been slowly moving her way west. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, then went on to complete her naturopathic training through the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. She started practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor in Sudbury, Ontario then after falling in love with the mountains moved to the Elk Valley in 2018.
Kallie treats people of all ages and a wide variety of health conditions, but has a special interest in women’s hormonal health, burnout, fatigue, thyroid disease, digestive complaints, and post-concussion syndrome, pregnancy and post-partum. She has additional training in children’s health from her internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
Kallie’s goal with her patients is to figure out the underlying root cause of their health concerns so they can get back to feeling great. She helps people move away from band-aid solutions and quick fixes, and is passionate about helping her patients implement a health plan that works with their busy lifestyle. When working with her patients, she uses comprehensive laboratory testing, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, stress management tools, and lifestyle counselling. Kallie also has a prescribing license which allows her to prescribe medication such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when indicated for her patients.
When Kallie is not busy working she can be found exploring the mountains, learning to garden, or hanging out around a camp fire. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, yoga, and mountain biking.
Kallie is registered with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia and is a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
